I can't tell you how many times I've said "I am so glad I started a blog." My main purpose in taking the time to write these posts is to have a collection of memories. I want to be able to look back in 5 or 10 years and see how much I've learned, traveled, laughed, loved, cried, worked, played, grown, and experienced.
In my very first post, I explained a little bit of why I chose the title of my blog. Sojourner does mean to reside temporarily and I stated that I was a sojourner residing temporarily in my hometown of Louisiana. When I wrote that I was thinking only in earthly terms, not spiritual. Since then Christ has reminded me that we, as believers in Him, are all sojourners on this earth. For earth is our temporary residence and heaven is where we will one day reside eternally. Even though I will soon live in a new city that, at this point, I don't consider a temporary home -- it is. Our stay on earth is short. We are like flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow. "All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls." 1 Peter 1:24 (ESV)
We shall wait patiently and hopeful for our eternal glory with the Father in Heaven!
I can't wait to see the blessings that remain in 2013. Hopefully, I'll have the time to continue 1 year, 2 years, 3 years.... of blogging!
